Our Story
It started with two men and a life-changing retreat experience. Larry Lopez and Tony Deosdade were so profoundly transformed that they couldn't keep it to themselves—they had to share this gift with the world.
From humble beginnings at the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas, what began as a handful of faith-filled people has grown into a global movement. Today, our small organization leverages thousands of volunteers annually, bringing transformative retreat experiences to even more thousands of people across six countries.
We've seen ACTS Retreats credited with saving lives and marriages, inspiring priestly and religious vocations, and completely revitalizing parish communities. This growth isn't from marketing—it's from the Holy Spirit working through ordinary people with extraordinary courage.
Now we're expanding our reach through carefully selected resources that support this vital ministry wherever it takes root.
